I welcome the opportunity to come speak with your group, and I am available to give brief (1/2 hour or so) presentations for free. My style of speaking is informal and involves a lot of group discussion-and it’s fun! Just ask and I would be pleased to discuss selections that might suit your organization. Appropriate venues and topics include:

  • How to find and nurture a fabulous relationship for fabulous 20 and 30-somethings.
  • Parenting or relationship topics for mother’s groups or PTSA organizations.
  • Wellness education for any business committed to the well-being of their employees.
  • Stress management skills for support groups including caregiver support groups and groups for the “ Sandwich generation.”
  • “How to talk to your teen” for parenting or school groups.
  • Tips for healthy relationships, wellness education or stress management topics for civic organizations such as 20/30 clubs, Rotary, Lyons, etc.
  • Creating and nourishing healthy relationships for fun, fabulous females in their 20s and 30s for your book club or circle of women friends.

What is EMDR?

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.  It is a psychotherapeutic technique that is very effective at helping people reduce their emotional distress around traumatic events such as a sexual assault, surviving a violent crime, combat trauma, abuse, car accidents, and other types of trauma.  EMDR also has applications for depression, anxiety, phobias, and chronic pain.  EMDR has been extensively studied and was given the highest level of recommendation by the American Psychiatric Association in the treatment of trauma.  During EMDR, the client is in control.  Memories are not "lost" forever but clients often report that they lose their vividness or their emotional charge.  For more information, go to www.emdr.com, or contact me if you have questions about how emdr can help you.
